Greensboro Veterans Service Office Open Full Time

Georgia Commissioner of Veterans Service Mike Roby reminds Greensboro area veterans that the Greensboro Field Office is open and ready to assist veterans and their families as a full time office.

More than 3,000 veterans call Greene and its surrounding counties home.

Open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on state holidays, the office is located inside the Greene County Courthouse in downtown Greensboro.

Office manager Jan Callaway is responsible for the Greensboro office. Callaway joined the GDVS in 1988 as the office manager of the Washington field office. A Washington native who grew up in Taliaferro County, Callaway is a graduate of Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville and has served the state of Georgia as an employee for 35 years, with 30 of those years with the GDVS.

“Jan has been a valuable member of the GDVS team for many years,” said GDVS Commissioner Mike Roby. “She has a thorough knowledge of state and federal veterans benefits and brings a great deal of experience to the Greensboro area.”
