Georgia’s Veterans Memorial Cemeteries in Milledgeville and Glennville will not hold their annual public Memorial Day Remembrance ceremonies this year.

Memorial Day will still be recognized at both cemeteries.

Cemetery staff will place flags on all graves and at the cemetery's front entrance during the week before Memorial Day. Local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, along with other volunteers, will assist the cemeteries to ensure all veterans are honored.

 Cemetery staff will host private ceremonies honoring Georgia's fallen sons and daughters with the playing of TAPS and raising the flags on Memorial Day.
