Veterans Day at Dalton State College
Dalton State College is highlighting campus veterans of the U.S. armed forces at the flagpole in front of Westcott Hall. The event is open to members of the community, with guest parking available.
11 a.m.
The lineup for the ceremony includes a flag raising conducted by the Georgia Army National Guard along with the national anthem, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence led by Dawson Harper, a junior in Dalton State’s associate of science physics pathway program and a U.S. Army veteran.
Speakers will include Dalton State College President John Fuchko III, who also serves as a colonel in the Georgia Army National Guard and commander of the 122nd Regiment – Regional Training Institute, and Dalton State junior Justin Asher, a U.S. Army veteran in the school’s bachelor of arts history with secondary certification program.
