It is with great pleasure that Augusta University and the Georgia Department of Veterans Service announces Mr. Carlton Deese has been selected for the position of Executive Director for Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home upon Mr. Charles Esposito’s retirement in October. Deese has supported Mr. Esposito as Associate Director at Georgia War since 2013, and he has provided excellent support and steadfast guidance in that capacity.

Prior to this position, Deese was the Administrative Business Manager for the Partnership between Augusta University and the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. He has supported Augusta University for many years and built longstanding positive partnerships along the way.

Deese’s commitment and responsiveness to the needs of the veteran residents has been quite impressive. We feel honored that he has accepted this position and will join our efforts in promoting the tripartite mission of the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home and Augusta University.
