Georgia Commissioner of Veterans Service Mike Roby wants to remind veterans and families to mark April 25, 2019, as “Supermarket of Veterans Benefits Day” on their calendars.

The 2019 Supermarket of Veterans Benefits will be held at the Larry Walker Arena on Central Georgia Technical College’s Warner Robins campus (80 Cohen Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 25.

The Supermarket is a signature event of the Georgia Department of Veterans Service and has been held in various cities across the state since 1966.

Representatives from over 30 federal, state, and local government agencies will provide a “one-stop shop” for veteran benefits information.

In addition to the GDVS, some of the other agencies represented will include several U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs programs and divisions; the Social Security Administration; TRICARE; Small Business Administration; the Georgia Department of Driver Services; the Georgia Department of Labor; the Georgia Department of Natural Resources; and representatives of state and federal medical facilities.

The event will also include a health fair provided by medical personnel from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin. Free health screenings, health benefits enrollment assistance, and seasonal flu shots will be available.
