As a precautionary measure due to the recent outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), following guidance from the CDC and the State of Georgia, the GDVS will temporarily suspend usage of the Committal Shelter for funeral services at both state veterans cemeteries.

The cemetery will remain open for interments, but burials will not include military honors or committal services. Families and guests may visit the gravesite after daily burials have been completed. 

Families may plan a committal service to be held at the cemetery at a later date. 

We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but are taking these measures out of an abundance of caution for our guests and staff.
