Mr. Zeringue also served as Projects & Events Manager in the GDVS Central Office from August 2013 to June 2017. In this role, he oversaw the department's special events throughout the year, liaising with state and national VIPs to ensure all projects go off smoothly.

He is also responsible for overseeing Georgia's wildly successful Vietnam Certificate of Honor program.

He is a retired Army Major, having served from 1977-95. His assignments included Air Defense Artillery (Nike Hercules), two tours in Germany (32nd AADCOM and NATO); Army Public Affairs (Chief, Army News Service and Associate Editor SOLDIERS Magazine); U.S. Forces Command Headquarters Counter-Drug and Public Affairs Staff Officer (Fort McPherson, GA).

Mr. Zeringue holds a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Journalism, Marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University. A Louisiana native, he is a passionate fan of his home state's sports teams.
