The Georgia Department of Veterans Service's Women Veterans Office's mission is to provide information, advocacy, outreach, and support to Georgia's women veterans and their families.
Nearly 93,000 women veterans call Georgia home. The GDVS offers a full-time advocate for these veterans and their families in the Women Veterans Office.
The Women Veterans Office provides direct assistance to veterans filing benefits claims, provides counseling for military sexual trauma, and hosts programs for women veterans and their families around the state.
This office works with GDVS Veterans Field Service Offices to provide a network of support for veterans who have experienced military sexual trauma.
